Driving Innovation in Zero-Emission Transportation Infrastructure
Irvine, CA—December 18, 2024
Optima Energy EV is honored to announce that it has been selected for a conditional award under the EnergIIZE Commercial Vehicles Project, a transformative initiative funded by the California Energy Commission (CEC). This recognition underscores our commitment to advancing scalable, sustainable solutions for zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) infrastructure in California and beyond.
The EnergIIZE (Energy Infrastructure Incentives for Zero-Emission Commercial Vehicles) Commercial Vehicles Project provides funding support to businesses and organizations deploying innovative charging and fueling infrastructure for ZEV fleets. By facilitating the growth of electric and hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles, this initiative helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve air quality, and propel California toward its ambitious clean energy goals.
The conditional award highlights Optima Energy EV’s leadership in designing and delivering high-performance charging systems, including Megawatt Charging Systems (MCS), tailored to meet the evolving needs of medium- and heavy-duty fleets. Our selection in this competitive process validates our strategic approach to addressing the critical infrastructure needs of the logistics and transportation industries.
With the support of EnergIIZE funding, Optima Energy EV will:
Accelerate the deployment of DC fast chargers and MCS at key locations.
Enhance the reliability and accessibility of charging networks for commercial fleets.
Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate renewable energy solutions into EV infrastructure.
This project is one of many initiatives that align with Optima Energy EV’s vision for a cleaner, greener future. As we progress through the next steps of the EnergIIZE program, we remain focused on delivering impactful solutions that empower businesses to transition seamlessly to sustainable transportation.
This opportunity is made possible by the California Energy Commission through the EnergIIZE Commercial Vehicles Project. For more information about this initiative, please visit CEC’s EnergIIZE Program Page.
